Solid wood floors are made from a single piece of timber and are in a multitude of sizes and textures.

In general, Solid wood flooring is classified into 3 categories and each term is based upon the type of tree that is the source of the wood. The choice between them based in the best matches climate in which you lived and your needs.

Hardwood flooring – usually broad-leaved and deciduous trees – Oak, Hard Maple, Birch, Ash

Softwood flooring – usually evergreen, Coniferous trees – Pine, Cypress, Douglas Fir

Exotic wood flooring – usually coming from the more tropical areas, are known for their extreme hardness and and feature striking natural colors – Mahogany, Ipe, Jatoba, Brazilian Cherry, Sapelli, Kempas

Strip flooring – it is manufactured with a tongue and groove design on all 4 sides and is typically characterized by the thickness (from 5/16 to 3/4 inch ), width (from 1 1/2 to 3 inches ) and length (from 6 to 20 inches )  of the wood planks.

Plank floorin<g/span> – is made from a single solid wood pieces and are typically very wide and thick. Beautiful and realistic wood effect, more towads rustic,  well maintained can last several generations
